A comparison of Scott/Ororo from the different medias.

XMEN
Scott Summers and Ororo Monroe (Movie)

Alias: Cyclops and Storm
From: The X-men Movie
Relationship status: Have never been a couple.
Where are they now: Both teach at Xavier´s school.
Status: They are teachers.
Past: Not known.
Powers: Scott can shoot powerful beams from his eyes which he can't control and must always wear a visor. Ororo can control all forces of nature.
Is most like: Hercules and Serena. Herc and Scott are pure-hearted and kind people who'll give their live for anyone. Serena and Storm are both kind-hearted and both has connections to nature. Also both will probably give up a lot for love (which Serena did)
Love status: They seem to fit together. They are very alike. Storm is like a softer, female Scott or a older Rogue. She takes on a lot of responsibility that she need not do and she will be a good leader ( see the comics).
Love Factor: Only friendship. However I think they could be so great together. ( see the cartoon, the episode " Days of Future Past". Both Jean and Storm are injured and Scott runs to Storm's aid while Logan carries Jean to safety and she really seems to enjoy being in Logan´s arms. A little too much, if you ask me, when she's supposed to be in love with Scott.)
Quote: " By the Goddess Light, Cyclops. It was a near thing " - Storm, after having saved Cyclops. ( comic)
" Ororo! Are you alright?"- Scott from X-men curt scene in the train station.
" I`m……unhurt" - Ororo

Scott Summers and Ororo Monroe (comic)

Alias: Cyclops and Storm
From: X-men comics ( canon)
Relationship status: Good friends, co-leaders
Where are they now: Scott leads the X-men and Ororo leads X-treme X-men.
Status: Ororo was thought a Goddess, now co-leader of the X-men. Scott has always been leader of the X-men.
Past: Scott grew up in an orphanage and later ended up on the streets. Ororo was on the streets from she was some 9 years old and became a thief. Scott was taken in by Jack, who abused him, but finally came to live with Xavier. Ororo was thought a weather Goddess until she left with Xavier to join the X-men.

Powers: Scott can shot powerful blasts from his eyes but can’t control them and so must always wear his red shades. Ororo can control the weather with her thoughts and can fly.
Is most like: Any couple which builds on friendship.
Love status: They have a deep respect and love for each other. After Jean’s “death” on the moon they became very close and seemed to drift into a relationship but Madelyne`s arrival ruined all that.
Love Factor: Friends and co-leaders.
Quote: " By the Goddess Light, Cyclops. It was a near thing " - Storm, after having saved Cyclops. ( comic)
" Would you mind some company, Scott?"- Ororo
" Never say no to a beautiful woman, especially when she is a friend" - Scott
" I have never been more proud of you. You said what was in our hearts. Both here and at the garden. I think for a moment you unnerved the professor----you became the teacher and he, the pupil"- Ororo
" Labels again. The hell with `em. He was in need. I helped him. As he would me. That's what it is all about, really. Needing and helping. Caring for another"- Scott
" And from that caring comes love" - Ororo ( kisses Scott on the cheek)
" And that makes the world go `round"- Scott
" If only that was so" - Ororo
- from the TPB “ God Loves, man Kills”

Past: Ororo was a car thief. Scott’s past is unknown.

Powers: Scott can shot powerful blasts from his eyes but can’t control them and so must always wear his red shades. Ororo can control the weather with her thoughts and can fly.
Is most like: None.
Love status: They barely known each other but they could be great together and it is a more realistic hope than seeing them in canon together. Ororo did seem to like that Scott stole the Black Bird when he joined Magneto so…..
Love Factor: Becoming friends but as long as Scott stays away from Jean in this universe, I`m happy.
Quote: "Way to go, Cyclops " - Storm, after she hears that he has stolen the Black Bird
