I don't own these characters. Notta one. This is in responce to the Lyric Challenge.
The poem is mine. Totally mine. Gomen for taking forever. Bubba had a idea for
X-Men : Evolution. And so I've been stuck on it. And can I get a Pietro
plushie? If I got one, I'd work faster.
Disclaimer:
Thanks to Amy Winner Barton.....I am able to write more. She is letting me
borrow a Scott, and a Trowa plushie.... ::huggles both plushie:: I don't own
these characters, or the plushies I'm huggling. And for now....on with the show
while I look for VBabe's Quatre.
Part 1:
Scott
watched Rogue has she read her poem. No one would have expected such a
beautiful woman was so good at Poetry.
We met under a tree
But now the tree is dead
Dead like our love
And we can't bring back that magic
And magic has broken our hearts
We thought it was forever
But it was just an instant
The instant is gone
Now we are left with the pieces
For that I cry
But not for the instant
Crying for the instant would be like wishing it never happened
And that I could never do
So let us leave it as an instant
And nothing more
Rogue
looked up with tears in her eyes. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to depress
anyone. I just thought it was the only poem worth reading." Then she
noticed that Jubes and Kitty were crying. Mr. Summers just nodded. As she
walked back to her seat, she smacked Bobby upside the head. Which woke him up.
"Huh?
What's going on?" Bobby blinked trying to figure out why his nap was
interrupted. Then he saw the evil red glare of Mr. Summer's sunglasses.
"Oops?!" Bobby shrugged and looked sheepish.
"Oops
is right, Bobby. If you can't stay awake during class I think you should go to
bed earlier. And with that, I think you owe our class, your poem." Scott
knew that Bobby didn't have it. This was a great punishment.....at least to
Scott it was.
Bobby
looked around, and go up infront of the class. He gave Rogue a devil may care
grin and started.
There once
was a frog named Bubba
Who's life was a little bit dulla
He lived in the Ghetto
And boy was he a fellow
He believe he was an elf....
With that
Bobby smiled. "The End!" Then quickly raced to his seat.
Scott just
raised an eyebrow. But he let it pass, with a D.
Later after
class
"Rogue,
I wanted to ask you about your poem," Scott sat on the edge of his desk.
"It
was just a poem...." Rogue looked down trying to hide the pain.
"It was
about Logan wasn't it." Scott's face softened.
"Yea,
I guess everyone can figure that out." Rogue blushed.
"Naw,
I bet everyone is wonder if you meant Bobby. Cause the way you hit him, it
could have been. But I know you," Scott blushed at being so straight
forward.
Rogue
nodded, her hair hiding her blushing face. "Yeah, it was about
Logan."
"Well,
I want you to come to a meeting between Professor X and a couple others. We'll
be discussing poetry." Scott nodded. And with that Rogue ran out quickly.
Part 2:
Scott watched Rogue run out. And admired her lithe body. Then shook it
off. After the messy break-up with Jean a year ago had him looking at some of
his fellow mutants in a new light.
Like
with Rogue, a year ago he would just think of her as a collegue, and nothing
more. Now she was a hot young woman. Her smile seemed to light a room, Scott
with a soft smile. Then shook it off. Rogue would kill him if she saw him now.
He picked
up the rest of his books, and papers for grading. He pciked up a short story by
Rogue. It spoke of a lonely woman, who thanks to a walk and a light, found
happiness, and love.
He
sighed, and turned off the lights of the room. And with one last look, closed
and locked the door.
Rogue,
on the other hand, couldn't stop thinking of Scott and her conversation.
"How did he know bout the poem? Is it that plain? Am I that lost, and
hopeless?"
As
she pondered this, she also thought of Scott. "Maybe he sees it because he
knows what it feels like....." Then she realized he was single again. Then
blushed as she thought he looked really sexy in class today.
"Bad
Marie!" Rogue scolded herself for such thoughts. He was just a friend.
Then looked at the time. "Oh great! I only have 10 more minutes before my
next class, and I want to get one of my poems done!" She quickly threw
down a poem, and ran to her next class.
Thankfully
the rest of the day was uneventful. And soon Rogue threw her books on the bed.
And looked at the poem she had wrote.
Eyes of
sadness
You think I can't see
The heart of glass
That was shattered
Not by me
But I want the pieces of the glass
And maybe you'll see
That it's put back together
Thanks to me
Then
quickly placed it back into the backpack, and looked busy, as Kitty walked in.
"What's
up?!" Kitty bounced over to Rogue's bed.
"Nothing
much. Why? What's up with you?" Rogue tried to look intrested as Kitty
explained the idea of her new date.
"Well,
Kitty, I gotta go. I forgot to ask Scott when the poetry thing is...."
Rogue said as she ran out. Leaving a pouting Kitty behind.
Part 3:
Scott
watched as Rogue rushed into his office. "Can I help you with anything? Or
are you praticing for a marthon?" Scott teased.
"I
need to know when the poetry thing is......I kinda forgot to ask....."
Rogue looked sheepishly at the floor.
"It's
no trouble. They are in the library after school, and it's every Wensday, and
Thursday. It was also Friday, but we all decided that most of the participents
in this had dates on Fridays. So we are now only met Wensday and
Thursday." Scott explained the whole schedule out to her.
"I
can deal with that. And you mentioned most of the people have dates.....like
you aren't apart of that group." Rogue raised one eyebrow, one of the
little things she got from Logan.
"I
don't get dates very often. Woman like guys they can look in the eye. And most
don't like a mutant with non-indoor friendly powers. Actually woman don't like
mutant boyfriend, unless they are mutants themselves." Scott laughed at
the indoor joke. Rogue stroked his cheek, and he leaned into it. Then both
realized what was going on, and jumped apart.
"Sorry,
Mr. Summers," and "Sorry, Rogue," were simlutantous. And both
looked down.
"I
thought we more friends enough for you to call me Scott." Scott grimised
in pain, the Mr. Summers caused, and bowed his head.
"We
are, it's just a habit. I can't call you Scott in class. So it's a natural
reaction....." She teared up. "Scott, look at me." He quickly
jerked his head up. "I would be honored if you were my boyfriend...."
Scott blushed as she ran away. Then he realized what had happened, and quickly
ran after her.

Venusgreen:
Ha ha! For a girl that lost all of the story, not bad timing!
Scott pouts at Venusgreen :You're mean, doing that to Maire.
Rogue blushs.
VG: Scott, what's that red mark on your neck??
Scott: Ummm....Nothing.....just a...just a rash....
Rogue hides her face in her hands.
VG rolls her eyes :Perverts!!
Scott just smiles :Get to work on the next part, Woman!
VG: Stop sounding like Wufei! And I will!

Part 4:
Rogue cried
as she ran down the stairs. "I'm so stupid believing he'd want to be with
me!" She cried to herself.
"ROGUE!!!!
MARIE!!!" Scott ran after and looked around. He knew she had to be down
here somewhere. "Why me, and my big mouth!" He mentally screamed at
himself.
Rogue
hide behind a door. Then she realized with a groan where she was.....and he
walked into the room from the bathroom. "Kid, what are doing here?"
Logan looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
"Shhh!!!"
Rogue looked at the door, as Scott was hear walking past it calling her name.
When he walked out of hearing range, she turned to her friend.
"Logan,
I gotta a problem......" He could still see the tears in her eyes. "I
made a big mistake."
Logan
quickly gathered her into his arms as he saw tears. "What happened
Darling? And why was Scooter looking for you?" He sounded confused.
"I
said something to him I shouldn't have." She looked up at him. "I
told him I would love to date him. I feel like such a dork!" She buried
her head into his chest.
"Did
he hurt you?" Logan growled. He was now like a big brother to her, and
like all big brothers, he wanted to protect her.
"No,
I didn't let him answer. But I know he couldn't like me like that...." She
cried harder into his embrace.
"What?!
You didn't even let him answer?! Marie, I thought I taught you better!"
Logan at her like she was crazy.
"Logan,
I know his answer would have been something like, I'm sorry Rogue, but I can't
get involved right now...." Rogue stepped out of Logan's embrace.
"Sorry Logan, but I have to get going."
Logan
nodded. "Just come over and tell me how it went." Logan kisses her
head, and pushed her out of his room.

VG: Another

Scott: I see I got my way
VG: And some got theirs, I got a bunch wanted Logan to show up....Well kids,

Logan: Stop talking and write more!
VG: I love muses!!! ::Runs after them with her trusty mallet.::

Part
5:
Logan
walked up to Scott, and looked at him really hard. "What are you looking
at Logan?" Scott was baffled by Logan's look.
"Trying
to see if you are good enough for Marie....." Logan huffed out, then went
to the study.
Scott
followed, and sat down next to the man known as Wolverine. "So, am
I?" Scott looked interested.
"Yea,
I guess. But if you hurt her, you're toast." Logan growled out, not
wanting to seem like he liked Scott. But in reality, Logan had found Scott to
be a good friend, and would back him up if ever needed.
"Well
know that I've gotten that obstacle out of the way......now how do I cross the
biggest one....Marie herself?" Scott looked defeated.
"Since
I know you will treat her right. Unlike some of the guys I have seen circling
her like buzzards......I'll help." Logan growled softly. Scott almost
missed it, but smiled when he heard it. And knew that it was a secret pact
between the two. No one was ever to know that Logan helped Scott out willingly.
"I
understand. Well, I gotta go. I have a night class. And I can't miss it."
Scott got up, and walked away. Logan, on the other hand, was pondering how to
get the two star-crossed lovers together.
In another
part of the mansion.....
Rogue laid on the bed, picking at the dinner Kitty had brought her.
"What to do....what to do...."
Logan
knocked on the door. And was surprised to see Rogue in a pair of pajamas.
"Umm, Marie, I need to talk to you....."
Rogue
rolled her eyes at him. "Logan, I'm not showing anything. So stop your
babbling!"
Logan
gulped and sat down. "First thing is, eat. Second thing....I want you to
get Scott a chance......" Then looks down.
"I'm
not hungry...and what did you say about Scott?" Rogue looked confused.
"I thought you hated him!"
"Hate
is a strong word, Marie. We just don't see eye to eye on certain aspects of the
X-Men. That's all." Logan cleared his throat. "Nevermind. I gotta
go....bye" as soon as the words left his lips, he was out the door.

VG is playing tea party with Quatre and Trowa
plushies
Logan: Venus Green! Stop your playing around and get this couple together!
Scott: Yea! Get Marie and me together!
VG: Ummmm....I'll think about it
Scott: Don't think! Do!
VG: Act like that, and I'll drag this to a 20 chapter story!
Scott pouts, and scuffles feet: sorry
VG: That's better!
Part 6
Scott was
lighting the last candle in the living room, as Logan came storming in. "What
happened?" Scott said worried.
"I
froze!" Logan growled at Scott. In which Scott started to laugh.
"Big
bad Wolverine was scared of little Marie?" Scott stopped laughing, as
Logan glared. But the smirk remained.
"She's
not little, and she was in her pajamas." Logan gruffed out.
"Well,
how am I supposed to convince her that I love her if she's still
upstairs?" Scott reminded the grouchy Logan.
"You
get her! I'll finish up down here. I can't deal with her before she goes to
bed!" Logan pushed Scott towards the steps.
"Hey,
how do I get her down here?!" Scott's eyebrows were raising to his hair,
and Logan could swear he saw Scott's eye get wide.
"Improvise!"
Logan called back before going to the kitchen to get a beer. "It was going
to be a long night," Logan thought as he sat down in on the sofa.
As
Scott knocked on Rogue's door, he could hear a few strains of Bruce
Springsteen's 'Secret Garden' playing in the background.
Rogue
opened the door, wide eyed as soon as she saw who it was. As she tried to shut
the door, in embarrassment, Scott stopped her.
"Please
don't shut me out. Let me at least show you what I feel," Scott pleaded,
letting go of the door, and held out his hand.
The
few minutes between that and Rogue actually taking his hand felt like an
eternity to Scott. Then her smile lit up her face, and Scott felt boneless.
"Show
me what?" came her sweet, southern drawl.
Scott
walked her to the living room, thankfully Logan had left in time, where the
romantic atmosphere was almost stifling.
Rogue's
eyes became saucers, and teared up, at the sight of it all. "This is all for
me?" Her voice held a hint of wonder.
"Yes,
Marie. This is all for you to show you that I have fallen in love with
you." Scott stroked her cheek, with such tenderness, it almost felt like a
ghost whisper.
"Oh
Scott! I've fallen in love with you as well!" Rogue leaned up, and caught
Scott's lips in hers embrace. And began the first kiss of many.

VG:
Finally!! I'm done!!!
Scott: I like that.
Marie: I love you Scott! ::Scott and Marie end up kissing. As VG pulls a shade
to cover it up from the viewers.::
VG: Nothing to look at. Keep moving, Keep moving.
Logan: Thank god they are finally together. Now I don't have to look at Scott
making cow eyes at Marie! Yuck!
VG: I'm just going to end this with a thank you to all the readers.
Scott, Marie, and Logan: Thank you! ::Everyone waves::
