Welcome to the Vampire Legacy Society Awards Page.
This page, and these awards, are designed with the priorities of the Legacy Society in mind. Those priorities are to recognize sites that concentrate on vampirism, without straying too far from the topic at hand.
You can rest assured, that any site listed here, or presented with an award, is a vampire site worthy of seeing. As well, do not expect this page to fill up too fast, for far too often do sites wander away from vampirism into other realms of HUMAN discovery.
There are currently three categories in which a site might be recognized. They, the award, and the descriptions are listed below, along with any sites that might have won that particular award.
Enjoy these sites, for we feel that these are some of the best vampire sites on the internet, and if you know of a site that you deem worthy or appropriate for one of these, please email us, the link is provided above.
1. This award is given to vampire sites that stand out for the beauty contained on their pages. For you art lovers out there, any site listed here is worth a visit.
DAGON- This site is graphically intense!! Excellent graphics, rollovers, animations, and even Flash Video. An excellent, mesmerizing Flash video entitled "Ode to Vlad" is one of the highlights of this site. Poetry, info, and more. Check this site out! You won't be disappointed!
2. This award is given to vampire sites that tread the darker side of eternity. Rest assured that any site listed in this category contains dark and at times disturbing depictions of gray ideals.
3. Our last award is given ONLY to those sites that provide complete information on vampirism. Sites that work hard for the Vampire Community, sites that explore all aspects of vampirism. Any site listed here will be completely vampiric in content, and is damn well worth a visit.
Sanguinarius- This site will always continue to be the forerunner of true vampire sites. Sanguinarius has dedicated an astronomical amount of her time, energy, and money to the Vampire Community. Her site is huge, and well stocked with info and interaction. A huge thank you from all of us here at the Vampire Legacy Society.
Reapers of Blood- Well, in my travels across the net in endless search of vampire info, I stumbled(quite literally) on this site. Now, this site is far from the size of Sanguinarius, but, it is indeed a full vampire site. Although much of it seems to be written as the authors themselves see it, the site has articles and info on general vampirism, psi, blood, dreamwalkers, has a Lexicon, info on the Masquearade, a FAQ, message board, descriptions, and I do not doubt, will grow quickly. I think that this is a fairly new site and will grow in time. Please take the time to visit them.
A VAMPIRE'S VISION ON LIFE- As Reviewed on BLOODY KISSES, this site gets a high rating for content, imagination, and creativity. Based on the female vampire aspect of our nature, this site is chock full, with a story, art, cinema, comics, history, literature, myths, television, backgrounds, and much more. For you femvamps, this site is a must, and for the males, worth the trip. Check it out, you WILL NOT be disappointed.
