Greetings. And welcome to Vampirology 2003!
Vampirology 2003 is the first of it's kind. It is an event geared towards bringing our community together. It's an opportunity for some friendly competition. It's an opportunity to put your money where your mouth is, so to speak.
Vampirology 2003 is a competition based on vampire lore, legend, fact, and fiction. It is a competition that will cover many categories. It is absolutely a competition based on vampire knowledge!! The members of the Vampire Legacy Society have spent time researching and recording the answers to the questions that will be asked, and will not be allowed to participate in the competition(see rules section below). The competition will be held in the Legacy chat room on March 22nd, 2003, at 10 pm U.S. Central Standard Time
To Enter the competition: Please send your site name, URL, and any banner that you might have for your site to TATTUNIGMA. NOTICE: you can have someone or several someones who frequent your site represent your site in this competition, it does not HAVE to be the webmaster or mistress who competes! In return, please copy the banner below to your hard drive, and display it in a prominent place on your website. Please use the following URL to link it with: http://www.100megspop3.com/vamplegacy/vampology.htm

Now, please understand, this competition is not for money, it is not for glory. It is for fun, and it is to earn the title of a Vampirology To Die for Site. An actual graphical award will be given to the top three sites that will look similar to this one:

The sites that earn these awards are truly "vampire" sites!!!!

Rules and Regulations for Vampirology 2003
This competition is to be a friendly one. It is to be a fair one. In order to insure fairness, and to skirt the issue of worldwide internet connectivity, the questions and answers gathered by the membership of the Vampire Legacy Society have been thrown into a pot and picked at random. Only the judges, and the event host will know the questions and answers, and the judges will not know the answers until right before the event's scheduled time. Members of the Vampire Legacy Society who were active in the making of this event and their friends, relatives, and co-horts are NOT eligible for this competition. Judges will act not only as witness but also as a mediator in the event that an answer is unclear, determining if the answer will be acceptable or not. Cheating of any kind will not be tolerated and in the event that a cheater is discovered, that site will be disqualified from the competition. Sites may of course surf the net in order to find their answers, but all answers must be given in the alloted time frames. Answers will be timed by the host, and seconded by the judges. All decisions on the answers will be final as per the host and judges of this event. A record of scoring will be kept by the host, and seconded by the judges. All sites must enter by the evening of March 21st to qualify for competition, and in so doing, must display on their site the Vampirology banner with the embedded link to this page. All sites understand that this is a friendly competition and is done for the good of the community, and to some small extent, to further the knowledge of the vampire community in general. Any questions can be directed to the event host at tattunigma@yahoo.com
